Frequently Asked Questions

When does school start?

School starts on Monday, June 25th and ends on Saturday, July 21st. A formal farewell dinner will be held on Saturday, July 21st.

How early must I arrive prior to the first day of class?

A mandatory orientation will be held at 7:00pm on Sunday, June 24th at Living Stream Church.
You will need to be in Jacksonville by that time.

Where will I live?

You will be placed with a host family through the local church.

What should I bring with me?

A bible, notebook, pencils and pens, summer clothes, play clothes, swim suit, a towel, alarm clock, money and a photo camera (optional)

What about meals?

A breakfast snack and lunch are included in the cost of tuition. They will be served in school Monday through Thursday. Meals for field trips are covered in the field trip payment.

Are we in school every day?

Classes meet Monday through Thursday during school dates. Class start time is 9am and lasts until 4pm. (Additional after school activities may extend this time.) On Fridays, students will participate in field trips.

How can I pay for tuition and field trips?

The tuition cost is $500, plus $50 cleaning/damage deposit, and $35 application fee. This includes the cost of education, lodging and meals (breakfast snack and lunch). The full cost of tuition must be submitted with your application. We accept cash, checks and credit cards. An additional $10 processing fee will be charged for each credit card payment. If your application is approved and you are accepted, however later change your mind about coming or your circumstances change, you will NOT receive a refund. The cost of tuition does not include field trip expenses.

What is the weather like in Florida?

Florida is the sunshine state! During the summer months, our thermometers read 80-100 degrees during the day. We are a tropical state so there will undoubtedly be some rain.

Will I have homework?

Teachers will decide when to give out homework based on their individual teaching plan.

Will there be exams?

Students will be required to complete daily quizzes that reviews the material that was covered in class the day before. Quiz questions will be in English.

Do we get any days off?

No. This intensive course does not contain breaks, time off or holidays! You'll get free time on the weekends.

What is the minimum age to come to Teens Bible School?

The minimum age to attend is 13 years old. The maximum age is 16.

What will I receive at the end of the school program?

Upon successful completion of the program with a passing grade and all requirements, students will be awarded a Certificate of Completion.

Will there be after school activities?

You'd better believe it! Check the Class Schedule under "Admissions" for more information.

Will there be a dress code?

Yes, and it will be strictly inforced. Please see the "Admissions" page for updated Rules and Dress Code.

How much money will I need for personal expenses while in Bible School?

On average, you will need $50-$100 for your personal expenses.
